          Naos: New Bethany's Women's Ministry
Naos is also the greek word John uses for temple. Specifically he is referring to the inner sacred areas called the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. It is an inner sanctuary. When we were trying to come up with a name for the women's ministry we discussed several words all referring in some way to the heart. I came across this word naos in a commentary and it just leapt off the page. I began to think about my heart and how important it is to God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" Everyday there are spiritual battles fought within and for my heart. I just have to remind myself that my heart is God's temple, within the core of my being he resides, refining and purifying. We already have victory, we just have to give him control. 2 Corinthins 6:16 says "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. This is another amazing concept we are His people, He is our God. He desires us, he chose us. We just have to decide who we want as master of our temples.

We are grace centered women growing in Christ through study and fellowship in a loving and encouraging environment and working, as Christ commanded, to reach others in the community.

Our goal is to help spiritually equip each other to grow, mature and multiply.
